Herzegovina is one of Europe’s last true hidden gems – a region where dramatic mountains meet Mediterranean river valleys, and centuries of history unfold along ancient roads and railway lines. This carefully crafted cycling journey offers a unique way to experience the diversity, culture, and landscapes of Herzegovina, all from the saddle of a bicycle.
Over 8 unforgettable days, the tour follows historic routes shaped by Roman, Ottoman, Napoleonic, and Austro-Hungarian influences. Starting in Sarajevo, we ride south along the legendary Ćiro railway, passing through iconic destinations such as Mostar, Počitelj, Radimlja Stećak Necropolis, and Stolac, before reaching Čapljina and the lush landscapes of the Neretva Valley.
Highlights include cycling through UNESCO World Heritage sites, exploring authentic Herzegovinian towns, riding scenic gravel and quiet roads, enjoying a wine tasting at a local winery in Domanovići, and discovering the unique biodiversity of the region, from karst landscapes to Mediterranean wetlands like Hutovo Blato.
This is more than a cycling tour – it is an immersive journey through history, nature, and the authentic soul of Herzegovina.
