Embark on an unforgettable 106-kilometre cycling journey through the heart of Herzegovina, exploring the natural wonders, cultural landmarks, and authentic local traditions along the Trebižat River valley. The trail winds through the municipalities of Grude, Ljubuški, and Čapljina, offering a perfect mix of scenic landscapes, historic sites, and adventurous experiences.

Starting in the charming town of Ljubuški, cyclists will visit the spectacular Kravica Waterfall, admire the centuries-old Franciscan Monastery and Museum on Humac, and cross historic bridges like Bagin Most. The route continues along forested trails and river paths to the breathtaking Koćuša Waterfall and the traditional mills nearby, before reaching the adventurous Peć Mlini area with its cave and adventure park.

Cyclists will then enjoy panoramic views on the ascent toward Lake Nuga, pass through Drinovci and Lake Krenica, and conclude the ride in the village of Gorica with a visit to the historic Church and Brotherhood of St. Stephen the First Martyr.

This trail combines natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and outdoor adventure, providing a unique and immersive experience for cyclists of all levels.

ITINERARY

10.00 AMSTART POINT MOSTAR

The tour begins in Mostar at Capriolo Bike Shop, where participants pick up their bikes. Our team will ensure each bike is perfectly adjusted to your preferences, from seat height to gear setup, so you’re ready for a smooth ride.

After a brief briefing on the route and safety tips, you’ll start the climb toward Adventure Park Fortica, overlooking Mostar and offering breathtaking views of the city and surrounding mountains.

Optional: Hotel pick-up and drop-off are available upon request — just let us know in advance.

10.00 AM - 05.00 PMCYCLING: LJUBUŠKI → KRAVICA → HUMAC → KOĆUŠA → PEĆ MLINI → LJUBUŠKI

Start your ride in Ljubuški, heading through the scenic Trebižat River valley. Your first stop is the stunning Kravica Waterfall, a natural wonder perfect for photos and a short break.

Continue towards Humac to visit the historic Franciscan Monastery and Museum, learning about the cultural and religious heritage of the region. Cross Bagin Most and follow the Bajer trail, an off-road path surrounded by untouched nature.

Next, arrive at Koćuša Waterfall in Veljaci, where you can admire the cascade, explore traditional mills, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The route continues to Peć Mlini, home to the Ravlića cave and an adventure park, offering opportunities for outdoor activities and exploration.

Cycle towards Lake Nuga and then through Drinovci to Lake Krenica, soaking in panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Conclude your journey in Gorica with a visit to the Church and Brotherhood of St. Stephen the First Martyr before returning to Ljubuški.

12:15 PMKOĆUŠA WATERFALL

Arrive at Koćuša, a picturesque waterfall surrounded by traditional stone mills and rural charm. Take a short break, enjoy the scenery, and experience the unique blend of natural beauty and cultural history that defines this stop.

2:00 PMPEĆ MLINI

Continue to the stunning Peć Mlini area, where nature, history, and adventure meet. Visit Ravlića Cave, explore the serene river springs, or enjoy the activities offered in the adventure park. An immersive stop with something for every cyclist.

3.30PMGORICA/SOVIĆI

Cycle toward Gorica–Sovići and visit the historic Church and the Brotherhood of St. Stephen the First Martyr. This heritage site offers insight into the spiritual and cultural traditions of western Herzegovina, rounding out the historical dimension of the tour.

6:00 PMLJUBUŠKI

Return to Ljubuški, concluding your 106 km cycling journey through stunning landscapes, waterfalls, cultural monuments, and rural heritage. A perfect finish to a full day of exploration and discovery in the Trebižat River valley.

Before you set off, our skilled mechanics at Capriolo Bike Shop will prepare your bike and adjust it to your preferences, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride.

Our team is available for support throughout the day in case of any unexpected situations, ensuring you can ride safely and confidently.

We recommend participants have basic knowledge of puncture repair and minor bike adjustments to make the most of the ride.

    We rate our tours from Level 1 (Leisure) to Level 4 (Epic). Each tour contains a description of the level, expected daily ride time, distance and elevation. If you have any doubts we’re more that happy to speak to you on the phone and help to find you the perfect trip!

    3WHAT ABOUT BIKES? CAN I HIRE ONE OR SHOULD I BRING MY OWN?

    We recommend that you hire a bike for your tour and will work with you after you book to help you to choose the best size and model for your ride style. If you prefer to bring your bike, it’s no problem. Please be aware that on some of our epic trips we charge a supplement to transport your bike box to our finishing location. If you have any doubts, please ask!

    4IS INSURANCE INCLUDED?

    Insurance is not included in our tour packages. We highly recommend contracting travel insurance at the time of reservation with a company from where you are from.

    Health insurance which covers you for illness or injury whilst cycling in your chosen destination is mandatory, we’ll ask you for details of your insurance provider before you travel.
